Steel Scrap

Since June this year, the Adani Port Limited has been importing steel scrap (a most precious raw material for manufacture of steel) averaging about 30, 000 MT in a month. Despite the difficulty in handling the scrap (it comes in various sizes and weights), we have been unloading the ships at a very high rate of 6, 000 MT in a day. This has caught off- guard our competitors albeit this is our debut for stevedoring of scrap. This scrap again is transported to the several steel manufacturers and foundries based in the western and northern part of the country.
