Since Bhuj is located from about 60 Km each from the Kandla & Mundra Special Economic Zones- the industrial growth in both the places has been phenomenal- in the recent past, the Company has been handling a lot of coal for the locally based metallurgical coke (popularly called ‘metcoke’) plant. The coke is either exported or sold off locally to steel plants & foundries.
