Industries Limited has set up the largest single stream cement plant
of 2.6 million tones per annum capacity at Sanghipuram (named after
the promoter of the group, Mr. Ravi Sanghi) in the Kachchh District
of Gujarat, India, producing clinker and cement. The product is
being sold in Indian and International markets. Sanghi cement is
a certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 company, confirming
its commitment towards Quality, Environment & Safety.
Lignite (soft brownish coal with high ash content) is used as
100% fuel. It has all weather Captive Jetty with high capacity
loading arrangements. It has its own lignite based Captive Power
Sanghi Cement is strategically located at Sanghipuram in the
district of Kachchh in the highly industrialized Indian state
of Gujarat. Exact location is at Motiber Village in Abdasa taluk.
This location is very rich in all the raw-materials required for
production of high quality cement. All the raw materials such
as limestone, clay bauxite, laterite, lignite, gypsum etc, are
available within a radius of 50 Kms. from the plant site.
SVCT is the exclusive stevedores of the captive jetty at Kharo
creek, leading to the Arabian Sea. Free from monsoons, the jetty
is in a creek and not on high seas. Hence, it is capable of all
weather operations. The jetty is fitted with Combi-loaders of
technology from SMB Germany, capable of loading ships with bulk
cement or clinker. A feed belt with maximum capacity of 2000 TPH
and loaders of 125 TPH capacities are installed for loading of
bagged cement. The facility's terminal allows access to local
and export markets. While Europe has more than 150 such terminals
and the Far East has about 40, India has none. This is the first
clean technology cement loading jetty of country.
The Company has indigenously designed 4 conveyor belts for loading
the ships. Similarly, indigenously designed hopper (at the rate
of 30 MT per minute) for emptying trucks has also been deployed
